Directed and Choreographed by Carole Lamont
Conducted by Sal Jiminez
This show is impressively well-constructed. The pacing and balance of the show provides enough time for character development, lending greater depth to the rather brief plot.
I was gifted with a really impressive cast of nearly 50 singers. More than any other show I'd worked on, this cast was comfortable tackling musical challenges. We split them into two choruses, one for the town and the other for the castle. This eliminated crowding onstage, but everyone sang all of the big chorus numbers.
As with my previous collaborations with Sal, I accompanied and led rehearsals with the cast, and he took over when the orchestra arrived. For this production, I stepped into the role of Keyboard 1 in the pit when Sal took over.
